I'd love to see any evidence one way or the other. Have any evidence to back that up? I see a whole lot of declarations from both stances on this issue but the only ones I'm inclined to believe thus far are the ones saying it's not defined at all. however going so far as to declare them heterosexual is the pendulum swinging the other direction. I have yet to see evidence the two are more than very close friends. I have seen tons of hearsay on the issue, the thing about Mikleo being Sorey's "one and only" and that no male/female romance would work for him, and also that a typical romance isn't part of the game because it wasn't necessary. From everything I've been reading there is no one defined answer. Both extremes of the issue are wrong in my opinion. It doesn't matter what gender they are if the relationship is built in a platonic and friendly path rather than a romantic one.
Sorey's childhood friend could have been Alicia or Rose or anybody and if he still had the exact same relationship that he had with Mikleo, with a female childhood friend, then we would still be saying the exact same thing - it's purely platonic.

Gay pairings have to meet a much higher burden of proof to be considered legitimate than do straight pairings. That's usually how this double standard plays out. You have no reason to believe that they are straight and ample reason to believe that they are at least bi, but you dismiss that out of hand because, consciously or subconsciously, you have an unusually high burden of proof for gay pairings.
